Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival and Acclimatization

Upon your arrival at Leh Airport, you will be greeted by our representative and transferred to your pre-booked hotel for check-in. Acclimatization is crucial at this altitude to help your body adjust to the weather and environment. Rest and enjoy a meal at the hotel. In the evening, your tour marshal will brief you about the upcoming expedition, provide an overview of the tour, and distribute bikes and necessary gear. Relax and prepare for the adventure ahead.

Day 2: Leh to Kargil

After breakfast, you will begin your ride towards Kargil, approximately 250 km from Leh, mostly along the Leh-Srinagar Highway. En route, you will visit several notable tourist spots, including Magnetic Hill, the confluence of the Indus and Zanskar rivers at Sangam, the Lamayuru Monastery, Moonland, and the centuries-old Buddhist statue at Mulbek. You will also cross two minor passes, Fotula Pass (13,478 ft) and Namkila Pass (12,139 ft). You are expected to reach Kargil by evening.

Day 3: Kargil to Garkhon via Drass War Memorial

Kargil, a major town in Ladakh with a predominantly Shia Muslim population, marks the beginning of today's journey. You will ride towards Garkhon, a village along the Indus River, home to the Dardi or Aryan descendants. Before heading towards Garkhon, ride further on Leh Srinagar Highway for another 60 km to visit the Drass War Memorial. Pay tribute to the soldiers who sacrificed their lives during the 1999 Indo-Pak war. Afterward, enjoy lunch and ride for another 3-4 hours to reach Garkhon village in Aryan Valley Ladakh.

Day 4: Garkhon to Leh

Following breakfast, you will begin your return journey to Leh from Garkhon, a ride of approximately 200 km, which will take 5-6 hours. En route, visit the 8th-century Alchi Choskor, known for its well-preserved frescoes depicting Buddhist deities. You are expected to reach Leh in the evening, where you can freshen up and prepare for the following day.

Day 5: Leh to Nubra

Today, you will head towards Nubra Valley, crossing one of the world’s highest roads, Khardung La Pass, at an elevation of 18,380 feet. The distance from Leh to Nubra is about 130 km and will take 6-7 hours. At Khardung La, it is advisable to limit your stop to 10-15 minutes to avoid altitude sickness. On the way, you may opt for activities such as ATV rides, ziplining, river rafting, or go-karting. In the evening, visit the famous Diskit Monastery and the Sand Dunes at Hunder, where you can enjoy a Bactrian camel safari before heading to your camp in Hunder.

Day 6: Nubra to Pangong via Shayok Valley

After breakfast, gear up for a ride to Pangong Lake via the Shayok Valley, an alternate route connecting the eastern and western borders of India. The route is surrounded by the Ladakh and Karakoram mountain ranges. To avoid multiple water crossings, it is recommended to leave before 8:00 AM from Hunder.

Day 7: Pangong to Hanle

Today's ride takes you across the eastern plateau of Ladakh at an altitude of 14,000 feet, heading towards Hanle via Tsaga La Pass (15,400 ft). En route, make a stop at the Army War Memorial in Chushul village. Hanle is known for its migratory bird sanctuary, particularly the rare Black Necked Crane, as well as the Indian Astronomical Observatory. If time permits, visit the observatory to see India’s largest space telescope. Enjoy a restful night in Hanle and prepare for the next day.

Day 8: Hanle to Umlingla and Back to Nyoma

Today, you will journey towards the world’s highest motorable road, Umlingla Pass, situated 80 km away. The ride takes approximately 3-4 hours, with the route selected by your tour captain for the best experience. After reaching the summit and capturing memories, you will receive a certificate of achievement. Descend to a lower altitude and head towards Nyoma for an overnight stay.

Day 9: Nyoma to Tsomoriri

Today’s destination is the pristine Tsomoriri Lake in Korzok village, located in the Changthang region of Ladakh. The lake is 26 km long and 8 km wide, situated at an altitude of 4,200 meters (13,780 feet). The ride takes approximately 4-5 hours. Upon reaching Tsomoriri, you can take a peaceful walk by the lake and enjoy the surrounding landscape.

Day 10: Tsomoriri to Leh

On the final day of your journey, you will ride back to Leh, covering a distance of approximately 250 km in 7-8 hours. En route, make stopovers at Puga Valley, Tsokar Lake, and Taglang La Pass. Puga is famous for its natural hot springs. You will have opportunities for photography and videography at Tsokar Lake and Taglang La Pass. Upon arrival in Leh by evening, if time permits, explore the vibrant Leh market one last time before you depart.

Day 11: Departure from Leh

It is time to say goodbye to Ladakh after an unforgettable motorbike tour through its offbeat regions. A cab will drop you at Leh Airport for your flight back to Delhi.
