Today marks the beginning of your adventure. After breakfast, you will join fellow riders from across the country for the Ladakh tour. You will ride through the famous Atal Tunnel, constructed beneath the Rohtang Pass, which connects the Sissu-Keylong valley with Manali. The tunnel spans 9.2 km and sits at an elevation of 10,000 feet above sea level. After a scenic ride, check into your camp and enjoy the spectacular views of the Himalayan mountains.
Today, you’ll ride towards Leh, the capital of the newly-formed Union Territory of Ladakh. The distance from Serchu to Leh is approximately 240 km, which takes around 7 to 8 hours. The road conditions are generally good, though some stretches between Naki La Pass and Pang are under construction. You will also pass through the famous Gata Loops, Mori Plains, Lachung La Pass, and the highest point on the Leh-Manali Highway—Taglang La Pass (17,680 ft).
Khardung La Pass (18,380 ft) is one of Ladakh's most iconic landmarks. The pass is approximately 40 km from Leh and will take you 2 to 3 hours to reach. Enjoy breathtaking views of the Karakoram and Ladakh mountain ranges. After a brief stop at the pass, you will head towards Nubra Valley. En route, enjoy a delicious meal at a local restaurant offering North Indian and Ladakhi cuisine. You will have the option to try an ATV ride, zipline, or go-karting, followed by a visit to the Diskit Monastery, a 14th-century Tibetan Buddhist monastery. In the evening, relax at your camp and enjoy a warm cup of tea.
After breakfast, embark on a scenic ride to Pangong Lake via the Shayok Valley, an alternate route connecting the eastern and western borders of India. The route offers stunning views nestled between the Karakoram and Ladakh mountain ranges. Depart before 8:00 AM to avoid water crossings. If time permits, visit the observatory to see India’s largest space telescope. Enjoy a restful night in Hanle and prepare for the next day.
Today, you will journey towards the world’s highest motorable road, Umlingla Pass, situated 80 km away from Hanle. The ride takes approximately 3-4 hours, with the route selected by your tour captain for the best experience. Descend to a lower altitude and head back towards Hanle for an overnight stay.
On the final full day of your expedition, you will ride back to Leh. The route takes you through picturesque landscapes and a stop at the famous hot springs at Chumathang, where you can relax and enjoy lunch. Continue the ride for another 130 km, with a brief visit to the stunning Thiksey Monastery along the way. Arrive in Leh in the evening, and take one last opportunity to explore the local market before leave for Kargil.
Today, you begin the final phase of your Ladakh tour as you ride towards Kargil. The distance from Leh to Kargil is approximately 245 km, which takes 6-7 hours. Along the way, stop at Magnetic Hill, the confluence of the Indus and Zanskar rivers at Sangam, Gurdwara Pathar Sahib, Moonland, and the famous Lamayuru Monastery. Upon arrival in Kargil, check into your pre-booked hotel.
The final day of your motorcycle tour takes you from Kargil to Srinagar, covering a distance of approximately 200 km. On the way, pay tribute to the Indian soldiers who sacrificed their lives in the 1999 Kargil War. Continue your ride through the Zojila Pass, the gateway to Ladakh, and stop for a group photo and a warm cup of tea. After descending from the pass, enjoy the stunning views of Sonamarg meadow and have lunch before heading to Srinagar. Upon arrival, bid farewell to your fellow riders and our team.
