Your adventure officially begins today. After breakfast, join fellow riders from across the country as you embark on your Ladakh tour. The ride from Srinagar to Kargil is approximately 200 km and takes around 5-6 hours. Enjoy scenic views of the Sonamarg meadows, followed by a ride to the Zojila Pass— the gateway to Ladakh. Stop for a group photo and a hot cup of tea at the pass. Continue your journey to Drass, where you will visit the War Memorial and pay tribute to the Indian soldiers who sacrificed their lives during the 1999 Kargil War. Arrive in Kargil and check into your pre-booked hotel.
After breakfast, ride from Kargil to Leh, the capital of the newly formed Union Territory of Ladakh. The 250 km journey will take about 6-7 hours, with several interesting stops along the way. Visit the 800-year-old Mulbekh Monastery to see the 30-foot Maitriya Buddha rock sculpture. You will also pass through Fotula Pass, Namkila Pass, and visit the Lamayuru Monastery, Magnetic Hill, and Gurudwara Pathar Sahib before reaching Leh.
Today, ride towards the iconic Khardung La Pass, one of the highest motorable roads in the world at 18,380 ft. The pass is located around 40 km from Leh and will take 2-3 hours to reach. Enjoy breathtaking views of the Karakoram and Ladakh mountain ranges. After a short stop at the pass, head towards Nubra Valley, where you can enjoy a hearty meal at a local restaurant. Options for an ATV ride, zipline, and go-karting are available, followed by a visit to the 14th-century Diskit Monastery. In the evening, relax at your camp with a warm cup of tea.
Today, ride to Turtuk, the last village on the India-Pakistan border. Previously a part of Pakistan, Turtuk offers a unique cultural blend. Explore the village and its scenic surroundings, which are heavily influenced by the region's border location and strong military presence. After exploring Turtuk, return to Hunder, with a stop at the famous Sand Dunes for a camel safari.
After breakfast, embark on a scenic ride to Pangong Lake via the Shayok Valley, an alternate route connecting the eastern and western borders of India. The route offers stunning views nestled between the Karakoram and Ladakh mountain ranges. Depart before 8:00 AM to avoid water crossings. Upon arrival at Pangong Lake, admire its stunning blue hues—over 70% of the lake lies in Chinese territory. Visit the famous Bollywood movie "3 Idiots" shooting point and enjoy an overnight stay at a lakeside camp.
After breakfast, head back to Leh via Chang La Pass (17,500 ft). En route, stop at the centuries-old Thiksey Monastery and Rancho’s school in Shey. Arrive in Leh by 5:00 PM, leaving you time to explore the vibrant Leh market and sample local cuisine. Return to your hotel to rest and prepare for the next day’s ride.
Enter the final phase of your tour as you head towards Serchu, located at the border between Ladakh and Himachal Pradesh. The 240 km ride will take 7-8 hours, passing through Naki La Pass, Pang, and the famous Gata Loops. You will also ride through the Mori Plains, Lachung La Pass, and the highest point on the Leh-Manali Highway—Taglang La Pass (17,680 ft).
The final day of your motorcycle adventure takes you to Manali, covering a distance of 210 km. Enjoy the scenic ride through Baralacha Pass and Suraj Tal before crossing the famous Atal Tunnel, which connects the Sissu-Keylong valley with Manali. After checking into your hotel, relax and take in the views of the surrounding green mountains.
